I little project I put together to kill time. It is both a clock and calendar. Use color mapping to engrave the red and cut the black.

Steve,
Can you convert that font to curves? I don't have it and the substitution doesn't fit your cut out area.
Thanks,
Gary

No problem. I'd love to see some pics if you make any of them. I have a craft fair in a few weeks and I may make up a couple of copies to see how they do.

I had a request for the file without the clock face so here it is.

I etched this one into a 12x12 mirror one day when I had some time, just playing around, and a clock sounds like a neat idea..

Thanks to Steve for posting his artwork I am now on the way to completing a project, which like Steve, I have been considering for some time now - an Aztec clock. I have taken bit of a liberty with the Aztec numerals because there is no evidence that they actually subtracted from 5 in the same way as the Romans but it fits better this way and who knows they may have subtracted. ;)
This is not the final clock face, this is just the proof of concept (cut into non PVC engraving laminate) but the final clock will have a quartz movement and is guaranteed to run right up to midday of the 21st December 2012.

I certainly hope so! I'd sure hate to be late for my 'End of the world' party, I'd never hear the end of it!
