Rudder thwart hardware coated with wax as a release agent then bedded in epoxy for perfect fit, and rudder stock mounting block epoxied over through hole:

Rudder stock mounting block bored for threading, then bored a size smaller all the way through for the shaft:

Both rudder stock mounting holes adjusted for perfect plumb:

Rudder stock is cut to length and epoxied in for close, perfect fit. All metal coated with release agent for dismantling except the threaded rudder stock-throughhull mounting:
