Train whistle pattern?

I know the whistles don't have much to do with turning per se, but my grandson LOVES trains and I'd like to make some for him. Ones I've seen are spindle shaped and have holes with dowels stuck in. Any one know how or can point me in the right direction?

Bonnie, I have a set of plans for a train whistle, but it is not spindle. I don't know why they couldn't be adapted to the round. If you like I will send it to you. You can use it or not.

This is one thing I love about SMC, people are SO helpful. Alex is going to have so much fun driving everyone nuts with his whistles lol
