JohnNow there's a dilemma. How do you take a picture of a camera? Guess a mirror would be involved. :) :D :)

Hey John, welcome to the Creek. Don't hesitate to ask questions around here, but you are responsible for filtering the advice.
Seriously there are a great bunch of guys and gals here so jump right in and get your feet wet.

Welcome to the creek. Great place to learn. The best place to learn about turning is in front of that free lathe though.

Welcome to the Creek! I am sure you will enjoy your stay here!

I have an OLD craftsman lathe as well. She still turns though and that is all that matters. As John said, the best way to learn is to turn some small pieces in front of that lathe and get a beginers turning book.
