Display box plans

I have a few of these I'd like to make for myself but I'm not sure how to approach it since I'm pretty new to woodworking. Thanks!

Years ago I built a display case for the Engineering Honor Society at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).http://www.home.earthlink.net/~us71na/DISPLAY.jpg The case comes apart so it can be transported in a car and there is a light in the top. I believe I may have a drawing of the case at home done in AutoCAD. The four corner posts are grooved on two sides to accept the glass. They set in notches in the base and are held in place with screw up through the bottom of the interior platform. The top slides down over these posts and rests on the top of the glass. Four screws secure it in place. There is a top panel that can be removed to replace the light bulb. The power cord runs up through one of the corner posts.
