open segmented ring

I would like to do a segmented bowl with a couple of "open" rings. A few months ago I stumbled on a site that showed how to glue up open ring bowls, but at the time I wasn't interested and didn't bookmark it. Now I can't find it. Anyone know of a site that explains or shows how to do this? What would be the best basic type book on segmented bowls that would also cover open rings? Thanks...

Chris, go to Amazon and do a search for "Segmented Wood Turning" by Bill Smith. The title is a little confusing, because the entire book is limited to "open" segmenting - good book.
