Chestnut Burl Bowl, Finished

This is the bowl that I posted "in progress" last month from the haul of chestnut burl that I purchased. This is the first time that I have turned burl and am looking forward to turning much more!

Thanks, David. Dimensions are 3.75" x 8.5", finished with tung oil. I will wipe on a few more coats and try to keep the finish fairly flat.

Nice calabash style bowl John, and the burl is beautiful, was it hard to turn as far of density of the wood? I still haven't turned any burl yet.
