Les,
You have a great affinity with Pheasants and this pen is exceptional,I admire your close ups of the blank for real quality detail. Your pics overall give new meaning to display together with the most suitable kits you choose.

Comparing your fine feathered pens with others is no contest every maker has their style and method. Your forthright statements on fit, finishing methods set you apart and they are made by you for you, pics by you.

I am again impressed by you.

Kind regards Peter.

A question, is there a web site or magazine article somewhere that explains how to make these feather blanks? Or is there somewhere you can buy them? My son is a hunting nut and would really like me to make him one. Thanks in advance. Jared

That is a great looking pen. I think I have a basic understanding of the process that you use for the blanks. I however won't even attempt to do any. Great job and a very nice pen.

Very nice job with the blank, and of course the pen too. As a former fly tier, I have respect for those who work with feathers. Not sure how you cast them wile preserving the "dry" look, but you do.

Half the battle of making a truely beautiful pen is picking the right pen to match the blank and you could not have picked a better pen here. Exceptional peice of work.
