To all you creekers out there who have done some segmenting work - please give me your opinion on which you prefer - Titebond original or Titebond II.

I have always used Titebond II, but if you all have had better success with the original, I need to give it a try.

Your input please...:)

Chris;
I had the same question recently so I went to the TiteBond web site and found the main difference between the two is that Titebond 2 is water resistant. Titebond 3 is water proof.

I don't think it matters but I use Titebond II.

Chris, unless you need the water resistance, it matters little. I mostly use the Original. If I need a little more working time or the water resistance, then I use the III. Nothing wrong with II, but I prefer the way the Original forms its tackiness and it washes off my hands more easily.

Ray Allen, the orginal guru of segmented vessels told me that he used only Titebond original. He said that Titebond II set up too fast. Titebond III didn't exist in Ray's day.
