Anyone tried lasering Frisbees used for disc golf? Not sure what type of plastic they are made of. Wonder about PVC? Anyone know?

Frisbee makes theirs from PE (polyethylene), but in the end it will be some form or another of a thermoplastic. I cannot say anything definite about the disc golf stuff...

Thanks Dan. Have you every lasered one? Id so, did it have to be color filled?

I've rotary engraved a few before with mixed results. Not something I plan on doing again.

For lasering, try contacting the manufacturer of the discs for the materiel....Innova and Discraft are the two big manufacturers.

Remember the PVC Flame Test posted here.... You could do some destructive testing of a chip and do the burn test looking for green....

Can't say I have... let us know how it turns out. My off-the-cuff guess is it'll melt to the same color like ABS and you'll have to colorfill. Engrave the first with tape on it, that way if you have to colorfill you won't have to waste a frisbee.
