Any suggestions as to where to find 4/4 Southern Yellow Pine in the Los Angeles area?

Douglas Fir, which should be readily available in SoCal, looks a lot like SYP.

Douglas Fir, which should be readily available in SoCal, looks a lot like SYP.

Douglas Fir is readily available here, but frankly, it really doesn't look much like Southern Yellow Pine. The grain pattern is different and the color is much "redder" than pine. Actually, the Ponderosa Pine available here looks more like Southern Yellow Pine, but it is considerably softer and much less durable.
