I looking for a source that makes modern brackets to support bar tops in kitchens. I have seen a number of ones I like in Kitchen Design books, but my initial search online has returned nothing.

I want them to be a brushed steel.

Mark S. any ideas on styles and what your friend might charge. I would need three or four. It would need to support granite.

Thanks. I'll try and scan something I like to help, but as it sits someone with sketchup might come up with something cool.

I don't understand what you're thinking about, but check out www.mockett.com. They have a bunch of modern hardware.

Thanks Mark.

I will have to call them and talk about what I am looking for. I have some pictures in design books, but so far not much luck in finding them. I also plan to talk with the folks that do local granite counter installs to see if they have source.
