Allan, looks like the development phase is coming along nicely!! I like features of several, but the larger collars detract a bit, so I will go with #1 on the left. But, I like some of the other finials a little better.

wood river hooked scraper, takes a larger hole and is crude compared to what is available if you have the money.

I am loath to disagree with John Keeton's opinion when it comes to hollow forms;), but I actually like the forms with the bigger collars. Hard to see the details on the finials with the picture background, but go thin to win. Nice work!

I'm with John. I like the form on #1 (L-R) and the finials on #3 and #4. I like 2 tone collars but my eyes focus on the wide collar as a central point rather than the totality of the entire piece. Just this man's opinion and remember I snort wood dust for a hobby.

Looks like somebody has been busy! I prefer the smaller collars too, but all in all the forms are nice. I was wondering how you did the vertical walnut laminations, until I figured out they were shadows. :D
