I have a cabinet that has two coats of wax free shellac and I was wondering if I can spray lacquer on top of the shellac. Thanks.

Shellac is one of those finishes that will allow just about anything to be applied over it.AS always do alittle test first just to be sure. Some people use it as a filler or sanding sealer under lac.----Carroll

De-Waxed shellac is the key. You should have no compatibility problems.
