Gary -

Congratulations on the new saw. Light years of difference between that and the old one.

Gary,

My dad used to have one of the B&D jigsaws... we called it the old screamer! Man was that thing loud!

Congrats on the new tool!

funny thing I have a light duty B&D I use for cutting thin stock and MDF, and it's like 3x as loud as my dewalt heavy duty. Grats on the new JS !!!!

Nice new saw! I know what you mean about the old B&D. I have one that I use for rough work. It is a single speed that I picked up a few years ago. Home Depot had them on closeout for something like 7.99. So I went to Lowe's and they beat it by 10%. So for something like $6 each, I bought two. Sold the other brand new one at my garage sale for something like $15. (Entreprenour?) Like I said, I use it for very rough work... And wear earplugs...
