Shop Fox 1741 8" Jointer on Craigslist - what do you think?

Hi all,

I have an opportunity to purchase a shop fox 1741 8" jointer for $550. The owner says it's 2 years old and is "like" new.

Good deal?

I have one. It is just a great piece of equipment. I was in the shop today jointing 8' lumber for some French doors. I sure was glad to have the long table.

One minor complaint that seems to be part of the design of the Shop Fox and Grizzly parallelogram jointers is that they make a bump noise on shutdown. I don't notice anymore, but it bugged me at first.
