One of the turners in our club made one, totally out of wood of course, for his son. Good idea.

My wife is an Occupational Theripist I will show this to her
I can picture making one out of Birdseye Maple and having her
give it to a family. If it works that would be plenty of payment.

I used to have a three legged stool in the shop that I used when I was doing stuff like cutting dovetails. But every time I would try to "skooch" the stool around, it would catch on something. I had the bright idea of making a one legged stool that I could move around on just a bit. But then every time I stood up, the stool would fall over. Never really figured out how to deal with that one. I thought about taping it to my butt but only for a second...

Thanks for posting. My niece works with autistic children in California - I'll pass this along to her.

Some of the old milking stools were like that.

Nice job.

And, if you use the camoflage kind, no one can see it

Is there some kind of dimensions for this? Would be interested in making one or two. Max

The one I saw was about 10 inch diameter, and maybe 12 inches high, seat was made from 8/4 pine, and leg from the same stock. A rubber crutch tip was on the floor end. Chairs and seats for adults are usually 17 inches high. If made to order, height should be determined by the under leg measure with thigh and knee at 90 degree angle. There can be a lot of differences in height. You can always make the legs shorter.
