Is this saw any good? What would a used one be worth?

Mine wasn't a slider - but - it probably came out of the same factory in China...

Used value?
To me - >zero. The cost of gas to drive to the junkyard to dispose of one would exceed the scrap value.
YMMV.

Approximate dollar amount new for 10 inch sliders:
A new HF is around $110.
A new Craftsman is around $225.
A new Dewalt is around $425.
A new Festool is around $1300.
Don't expect Festool results with a HF model!
A good used Craftsman slider shouldn't be much than $100.Since new price is around $225. It may have been on sale for less.
AND... what kind of blade you are getting with it helps.
I have a $100 Craftsman 10 inch CMS. It isn't a slider, and it isn't Festool. Do I expect great results and quality. NOPE! It is what it is. It is marginal, but does work.
I have several miter saws and use them accordingly. I use the cheap saw for the crap!!!

Save your money and buy a good saw. Craftsman quality is minimal at best in power tools. Hand tools? I think that they're as good as any.
