I've searched the boards and don't see alot of info on any of these sprayers. Went to the store's websites and TONS of reviews on the Rockler and HF sites though.

Anyone have any experience with these? I know the Earlex is a fairly new model so maybe not as many, and also, the Rockler and HF look IDENTICAL. Just not identical cust svc I'm gonna bet http://wood.i.lithium.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I know I don't need the upper end models. Right now I just have a gravity feed gun with a small compressor. It's gotten me by, but I can justify to my financial advisor (aka LOML) a lower end HVLP now http://wood.i.lithium.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Looking at just spraying stains and poly...maybe some paint every now and then.

Thanks for any inputs!!!

I don't have experience with the Earlex, but I have owned both the HF and the Rockler sprayers. They are indeed identical (except perhaps in color). It's a decent machine and can handle lots of jobs. You won't do any custom auto painting with these, but for basic finishing work, they are a very good value.

Go with the Earlex. I have the 5000 and love it. I almost ordered the 3500. I think it would spray thicker material better than the HF ones (like latex). Look at the specs on the 3500:

500 Watt 9’ Hose
7’ Power cordDin Sec Rating = 160
43 CFM2 PSI
Limited 2 year warranty
