I cannot fill the space in between the black lines on the dxf file with solid black. I currently have inkscape and Inventor 2011 (a 3d modeling program from Autodesk) and Laser Master 8.6. Can anyone help me gets those spaces filled in. It is some engraved detail that I want for the floor.

Thanks.

I cannot upload the file it is too large - 700k

Jeff, can you zip the file. There's not much we can do if we can't see the file.

Either increase the line width of the black lines until they touch each other, or zoom in, mask off between the lines and spray fill with black. PITA, but that's why we get paid the little bucks!

Jeff,

The reason you may have the problem is that when exporting to saving as DXF and then importing into working program your program breaks the image into bits. If you can import PDF it will stay solid, at least in Corel does.
Here is a PDF version if you can use it.

I'm with Tony. Can be filled black in Corel as a .CDR file but I've tried a few different save options and can't get the fill to stay in a .DXF. I've never used the programs you have listed but layers may be an option instead of a fill.
