Dick, I don't recall seeing the cross-hatched piece - very neat! Is there a thread on it I missed?
Hope you do well in the exhibit! My guess is you will see some sales.

Very nice work on both pieces Dick! I wish you well with any possible sales! Where is the show being held - just in case we have any readers that are in the area?

I don't know why but that first one reminds me a King Kong where the girl is strapped to the pillar, cool stuff.

OK... we're getting closer.... what is the name of the art show and gallery or venue hosting it? I figure we have members that live in the area and given dates/location may find the time to stop in and check it out.

Steve, it is the Western Michigan Regional Art Competition in Lowell, MI ( 20 miles east of Grand Rapids ) Exhibit is until April 8th. Check out the Lowell Area Art Council for more details. 250 entries - 93 selected. It is a fairly small comp but ya got to start somewhere. I don't know where Harvey MI is but you ought to take in the Grand Rapids Festival in June.

Congrats again on getting accepted! I hope your turning do well!
Harvey is located just south of Marquette - in the Upper Peninsula. I have been to Grand Rapids a few times but it is quite the drive - close to 7 hours if I remember correctly.
Good luck with the show! Hope you receive recognition for your work!
