Just noticed this new unit tonight at HF.com
Not a bargain now ($359.99)but you know HF is good for a super sale price.
Any thoughts on this unit?

Since when did John Deere start manufacturing dust collectors for Harbor Freight?

I can't help but wonder if it will turn out to be a gem like their smaller unit.

At 99db it would be a very loud unit.

I actually think they've been selling it for quite a while, but have NEVER heard of anybody buying one, or knowing anything about it

Ill have to mention that Id rather get a three hp than the 2 (1hp really) this way I could go up to 6 inch hoses. Smaller unit isn't enough.

anybody buy one ????

Wouldn't that rival a lunchbox planer for loud? If so, no thanks.

I agree...at 99dB there's no price good enough to put that in my shop. Hearing damage starts in about 15 minutes at that level with no ear protection.

And eye damage after 5 minutes with that color scheme

FWIW, if I recall correctly, that one has been in the HF catalog for at least 3 years, probably longer... There is a guy in my neighborhood with one of those, the noise rating is either extremely overrated, or his unit is oddly quiet. His has 2 Wynn filters swapped onto it. I think IF I ever got it in my head to buy one of those, it would be for the sole purpose of having a cheap enough motor / impeller to build a budget Cyclone... Chuck the twin bag rings all together!

I double that !
Id go check his out I bet he would be happy to talk about it. Then you could fill me/us in.
