Anyone have an idea for engraving serial numbers. I need to engrave 3000 pcs ea with a unique serial number. I have done this the past by simply typing out the numbers in corel, but it's a pain and takes forever, there's got to be an easier way. Did look through the search, but I didn't find a good answer or maybe I just missed it.

Print Merge videos by Roy Brewer.

That might work if you have decent numbers, line in a series. You can go into Excel, put the a couple numbers in and then highlight the fields and tell it to smart fill it (I don't recall the terminology, I haven't used excel in years now), but it will automatically fill in the series.

There's also a macro someone wrote that does serial numbers. Search for CorelDraw macros. It's all easy to do, unless each one is really unique.

Sent you a PM and believe the CR macro I have will be the solution.

Hey Greg,
Here are 2 files to show you the set up and finished CDR file. Don't know how you plan on setting up your table, for the parts to be serial numbered, so I just filled a sheet with some tags and put the "number in the center with the text "centered" so the serial #'s would also be centered.

As you will see, alpha-numeric is also available. I put your name "Greg" and "test" before and after the#'s so you could see it just incase you may need it.

It only took a few minutes to set up from scratch and have a file laser ready. Actual serialization took a few seconds.
