A Chippendale mahogany highboy was sold at auction for $856,000. This 18th-century pieces was in Robert David Lion Gardiner's collection. It was made by Thomas Townsend of Newport R.I. So pay very careful attention to the names on this list. In 200 year who knows what their woodwork will sell for.
