I think these are still available only in Europe.

Wow, that combo portable TS and chop saw is pretty cool! Americans would be cutting all kinds of limbs off with that sucker! :)

And I thought everything had been invented!

I wonder how much the Dado blade set costs for that table/miter saw?

Seriously though... having just recently installed some engineered flooring I must say that the Miter/table combination would be perfect for the job!!!

I was just thinking that. What else would it be good for aside from flooring?

They've had these saws in Europe for a long time. I first saw them over 20 years ago. Europe leads in new developments in the wood industry...insert tooling, paralleogram jointer tables, slot mortiser predates the Domino by 60 years or so. They even out do them selves.

Is that insinuating Americans are any less careful than Europeans?

I really hope they made the top guard impossible to remove. I can only imagine guys running the miter saw with the top of the blade exposed.

Well, if you could chop and rip at the same time, think of the time you'd save! :p

I kind of like this one. Is it available in Canada?

Yes and no. When it would happen in the US, we'd hear about it because of all the lawsuits! It doesn't look to have a riving knife so we won't see it here anyway.

I was just poking fun.

Yea, but that guy doesn't know butkus about laying flooring. He didn't leave a gap at the wall , so that floor is going to buckle on him for sure. I'm sure Bosch will be glad to sell him a tool for cutting a gap around the perimeter of the room.

Can anyone come over and help me flip over my dewalt RAS? I have a great idea I want to try based on this inspiration.....As long as American contractors have great big trucks and vans to lug around both a chop box and portable TS, this combo tool seems to me almost completely stupid. If you operate in Europe where gas is $67/L, and you drive a "micro van" suddenly a tool that acts as a TS, SCMS, job site radio, two step ladder, hammer drill and sawzall at once starts to make sense, but until then its like having a device that acts as both socks and mittens. I'd really prefer to have one of each.

These have been in europe for decades. I know dewalt has one like that, I'm sure all the brands have them over there. Just go to the uk sites for makita, dewalt, milwuakee, festool, etc. and you'll see all kinds of tools that are not in the US. The problem usually are not being able to get UL approval and/or lawsuit potential.

That is a $1.5 million dollar saw here in the US!

One cold hand and one cold foot has got to be a safety issue;);)

When I worked out of my truck everyday doing trim carpentry I would have loved to have one. One less tool to carry in in the morning and one less to carry out in the afternoon.
I was just thinking that. What else would it be good for aside from flooring?

that combo saw is the coolest! every contractor in the country will be buying one of these i bet.
