I recently bought a used lathe that came with "some" accessories. I have a few "chucks" and a mandrel, but I need a center. What is the difference between a "drive" center and a "live" center? Thanks!!

The drive center fits in the headstock and turns(drives) the work piece. The live center has bearings and fits in the tailstock. It keeps the work piece centered on the tailstock and turns with the work piece.
