CMT sells them - amazon has links to vendors that sell them.

PEachtree has a foam insert

Or just plywood and a drill.

Lee Valley holder look nice and thank you, Mike - I knew about foam inserts and plywood and drill option. I am looking for cheap plastic rings, or tube cutoff I can insert in plywood holes. I have some discoloration on my router bits after keeping them into plywood. And I am kind of obsess with it.

1/2" I.D. plastic hose with an O.D. close enough to your drill bit size to work. Seal the bottom of the hole (or use the same glue you use to hold the plastic hose pieces) to avoid your discoloration issue. I find storage boxes more convenient. I don't like reaching into a forest of vertically stored cutters for the one I am after ;-)

Great idea, Glenn. Hadn't heard that one before.

I noticed the boys from the Woodsmith Shop like identically-sized squares of MDF. They bevel the edges, and arrange them, like tiles, in a shop drawer.

But I sorta' like your idea better.

The only other one that I could like as much is simple ridgid foam board, or ... what's called "floral foam:"

I used the small drawers on the side of my router table for awhile but found they really did hold that much and I could not arrange the bits like I wanted. I then tried different square blocks and the didn't work out as good as I though it would, they would get knocked over and things like that.
I then gave up on the small drawers and made a new one under the table and use 4 hard foam blocks for Eagle.

I took them out of the little wooden box they come in and just put the foam in my drawer. I can now arrange them any way I want and have all the room I need. It is really nice to open the drawer and see everything at one time. The foam blocks hold 1/4" and 1/2" bits.
