I have built the Lynn Sabin box joint jig. I have built it as per the instructions on the web including using the 3/8 thread, however I am not getting good results. The blade kerf is labelled as being 2.8 mm (or 0.11 inch) however the kerf it produces is approx 3 mm. I know that this jig is very flexible and understand it can absorb inconsistencies such as kerf inaccuracies but I don't know how to allow for this error when using this jig. How do you calculate the number of turns necessary when you have this sort of saw blade variation?
