One son had been fishing some beaver ponds; he brought home a piece of wood that had been floating in the pond. The knawing marks left by the beaver looked interesting so a small bowl came out of a piece of aspen. Who knows how long it had been floating in that pond? After a few months of drying, 8 x 8 piece turned into bowl with abit of nature's added character. Thanks for looking.

Dan, it certainly does have "nature's added character!!" Very interesting bowl. The coloration on the side almost looks like ambrosia stain, though I know it isn't. The darkened area around the beaver marks really adds to the piece. Good work.

That is a pretty cool piece of found wood. Great idea to incorporate the gnawings of a beaver! Now you just need one of my beaver hides for a photo backdrop!

I just love this kind of stuff, nature had its turn at the wood before you all did, great job on this. There was one that was posted.....hhmmm...probably about 2 months ago that was VERY chewed up by a beaver that the person had hollowed by hand I believe, hope to see more of these in the future.

Dan that is some piece. Love the part where the beavers chewed on it. Great story.
