Walnut Bowl I worked on today. 5.5" x 2.25" Thickness is less than 1/8"
2 Coats of Clear blond shellac and some wax.

I didn't blow it out ... whew.:)

Nicely done. this form is a great one for turning thin. It is a predicable curve which helps when turning the inside. Great job. Thanks for posting.

Just a real nice bowl and the wood and finish are great. Makes you tense getting it think like that.

Looks great. I admire the turning, but am really impressed that you can get such a nice finish on something so quickly. How long do you have to let the shellac cure before you can wax it?

Simple beauty! I love the walnut as it is simple in its grain rather than a lot fo curl or figure like most things, and I would not be afraid to use for some candy or nuts or something!
