I have a craftsman pro 13" planer and need new blades. I hear the craftsman replacements are junk so where could I get the blades, is it possible to get helical blade for this planer and are they worth the price:confused: . Thanks for any input..

I see Sears has the spiral head selling for $299. Should have got the spiral head version which was only $150 more than the standard knife ;).

I would look at the Esta blade system. I have it on a 24" planer and it works very well....Next best thing to upgrading the head.

Measure the size of the knives and buy a different brand. No reason to use Cman if you can get another manufacturer that is better.
