I bought the hw for this jig years ago. Now I want to build it. Rockler's jig won't fit my miter slot. The plans call for cutting the mending plates and drilling new holes. My question is why?
It seems to me that if the material rest and and adjustment blocks were resized this wouldn't be necessary
