In 1973, I moved to Tucson, and later, while hunting, I found this bowl. It's probably made by the HoHoKam, but not positive..
Yesterday, after being inspired by Wally's "SW anceint Pot", I decided I would duplicate this one.. It's mesquite, 1/8" " thick, 5" od, and 2 1/4" deep. It's pretty close, but not quite there...... C &c welcomed..... Jerry (in TUcson)

Pretty close replication!! That mesquite sure made a nice looking bowl, Jerry.

Nice bowls. I really like that mesquite. Nice grain....

Don't let anyone know you have the other bowl! Someone might come and confiscate it!

Jerry....nice looking replica of an authentic, real piece of pottery. You did a fine job with the mesquite, it looks fine.
