My Porter Cable 18 ga brad nailer is dying a slow death and I have decided to replace it in the near future. Woodcraft has a sale beginning March 5 on a Freeman 2" brad nailer. Sounds like a house brand as I have never heard of them. Anyone have any experience with this brand?

I've got one of their 23 guage pinners that I got about 6 months ago. I haven't used it a lot, but it has worked well so far. All of my air nailers are inexpensive and I've never had a problem with any of them. (Delta shopmaster, Smith & Wesson, Freeman...) I'd go for it.

Freeman is one of the low cost brands and will work perfectly fine for light to moderate use. If you are a heavy user, you would probably be better off to look at the better brands. If you have managed to wear out a PC nailer, you may want to look at better units.

replace o rings
air-nailers are pretty simple units
less than an hour you can replace all of the o-rings kits usually cost 20 bucks or less

google " PORTER CABLE O RING KITS"
