Here are a couple more plates I have made over the last year. The first is "Romeo". 12" hard maple with maple and ebony inlay. He currently resides in Canada.

The second plate is "Teddy". I was asked to make this plate for the New Zealand Mastiff Club Specialty "Best in Show" Award. The plate is 14" hard maple, with maple and ebony inlay. The stand is cherry and steel. Teddy resides near Christchurch NZ. I am proud to say he has survived both earthquakes :)

Jeff, I am a little late taking a look - fantastic work on these!! Getting the eyes right is always difficult on a live subject - animal or human - and, you nailed them! Great work.

Thanks John. I always start with the eyes. If they are not right it goes back on the lathe to have them removed.

Thanks Steve. These plates are my best sellers. I don't make a lot on them but they do support the addiction :)
