What is your target budget / size of saw / resaw capabilities ? This will make a difference on what deals are out there.

Paul,
This topic has been covered so many times it would be hard to count, but probably 10 times a month minimum. Which tells you we love to talk band saws and spend other folk's money! However, if you use the SEARCH function, you can find 10-20 threads just from the last couple months that have hundreds of responses well thought out, and you won't have to hope for replies--just read away!

Here's the latest thread that pretty much answers your question--many saws are covered, despite the thread title. My recommendation would be either of these two, for virtually any budget/size/resaw combo you answered, I think the value is that good. You might also click the link in my signature to read a ton more threads on buying bandsaws.

Paul as mentioned your budget and the type (and size) of things you want to do with it will make it possible to reply.

It doesn't do much good to recommend a Hyundai if you have a Ferrari budget and not much use to recommend a sports car if you need to haul 1,000 pounds of sand.

This is a link to the SMC classifieds. Become a contributor and you can see it. It's a great deal on a G0555X BS in maryland.
