I purchased a few brass plated steel Designer Plates form JDS which I intend to laser engrave and mount on a wooden plaque. I assumed they were adhesive backed. They were not. What are my mounting options? Also I have never engraved this product before--any suggested speed and power settings--I have an Epilog mini 35 watt engraver.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi Dave
I use a double sided stickey tape available from most engraving supply outlets, it comes in various widths.
You might be able to find something (tape) in a hardware store that will work as well.

I engrave on these plates all the time 90% pwr at 60% speed 78 in/sec Trotec 25w Clean off with car polish. I don't think 35w 90 pwr at 80 spd would be out of the question.....

Be careful with JDS plates. A large enough percentage of them have marks or blemishes on them. Sadly, JDS, Marco, or PDU can't seem to actually provide blemish free steel/brass regularly.

As for settings 50pwr, 100sp, 500dpi is my preferred setting. We use screws and/or gold double sided tape to secure the plates.

You can test some carpet tape from your hardware store
