Wally, one doesn't grasp the complexities here until the 5" in diameter sinks in!! That is a lot of pattern in a small space! Beautiful wood, perfect form, and such a unique pyro application. Wally, you have forgotten more about wood turning than I have time left on this earth to learn!

Wow, Wally, that's cool! I like it. Can't wait to see what you do when you get really serious!

Very nice, that wood is beautiful and I like your pyro work. Really like the rolling arches, gives the piece a elegant look.

I'd lose the ring at the top... other than that..Big winner Wally!!! Great effort and skill!!

Very cool, Wally. I wondering how the piece would change visually if you changed the convex border of the burned area to concave... It looks great as is, but I can't help but wonder about changing the direction. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful work Wally! Really like your burn pattern! Great form and the contrast between burned and curly is quite an effect! Thanks for sharing!

Great shape and wood Wally! The arches are neat and obviously planned out. Was the rest of the "filler" just kind of made up as you went along. Looks great regardless.

Awesome design there Wally. That took a lot of patience to do. Like John said that's a lot of design work when you take in consideration the size. If that's just playing around what do you do when you really get serious...:D

Hi Wally.

That is a good looking playground! The curves and the hatch pattern work well together. The wood isn't to shabby either. I like the ring at the top, it compliments the longer neck.

Just took another look. The figure in the wood shows through the hatch fill. Good stuff.

I like the way you have texture and still have quite a bit of wood showing. Very pleasing form too. Looks like fun.

Really nice Wally. Beautiaful wood and great transformation of it. I think I see Picasso in the bottom half!
