Pexto 108 brace ?

Is anyone familiar with this or similar braces? I have a PS&W 8010 with a Samson chuck who's jaws look very similar but have a major difference. The Pexto jaws seem to be attached to the bottom of the slot in the inner chuck housing. It looks like the wire/spring extends down into the base of the slot. Then again maybe the wire/spring is just bent or stuck? I am trying to remove the jaws to better clean them.

The jaws to the PS&W brace come right out when one unscrews the outer part of the chuck housing.
