Pucker Factor - Complete

The Pucker Factor piece is complete, for the most part. Would like to have had more time to add more coats of finish and a buff, but it's going to the DWR Instant Gallery tomorrow. I'll give it a bit of hand buffing to shine it up in the morning (WOP wasn't set up enough to do it tonight).
It's 11 1/2" tall by about 3" wide (give or take). Sorry for the crappy pics, but it's still in the shop and I didn't get done till about 11pm so I wasn't going to set up the photo tent.

I'm pretty happy with the lid, but the finial looks fat in the pics (looks better in person), the color of the walnut goes great with the piece.

I've also included a pic of the bit thingies I used on the drill press to define and texture the void.

Kathy, the more domed top worked better, I think. I do like the walnut color for contrast, too. Doing lids for this type of NE form is very tricky - particularly when there is such a varying height of the NE. The void in the side of the chalice is problematic, as well. Overall, I think you did very well with this piece, though it would have looked great with no lid/finial, too.

The results speak for themselves. Nice job. Creating the void in the lid made it possible. It is an attractive piece.
