Nicely done. Great shine on all of them. I love the figure in that maple piece.

I like them all, Mike. I especially like the form on the Maple.

The feathering on the maple is cool - almost has an alabaster look to it. Any chance you would post a profile photo of that one?

Grain usage on the oak is attractive - I think this one is my favorite.

Looks like quite a collection in the background there too....

Nice trio, Mike! The maple piece is the clear winner on form and wood IMO.

Forgot to ask, is that a spray lacquer finish or something else?

So funy i look at the maple and think not much but beauty is in the eye of the something, please the finish is just a rattle can poly try it go slow mist it then sand it then do it allover, not the best i will try the lacqure and buff soon

Thanks John!! i see you work someday maybe me, i drive down back roads on cape cod not many left, and look for the most narly cut offs in fire wood piles, they chase me off mostly, but i grabed that one and when i turned it, it did not pop ! as it gets older the grain gets more pronounced and it is starting to look swell, i see much more pop in the white oak piece you would have to see it in person

Mike - nice work on all three of these! They each have their own character and you should be happy with your results!

+1 on the maple. I'm partial to that form and the wood itself is very interesting. Very nice looking finish for a spray can poly. I just tried to spray shellac and have been spending the last few days trying to fix the mess I made of them.
