This saw looks like a not fully grown Disston 12. It's etch says 12. It has a 24" blade that is only .030" thick. There seems no discernable taper, maybe .029 RIGHT at the edge of the back, but that could just be polishing.

This saw also seems just about unused. It has a super crisp apple wood handle. Blade is 6 tpi.

The dark areas on the blade are superficial water stains that would polish right out.

I am not doing real well, screwed up the title!!

I only have one richardson brothers saw, but for what it is (a 28" 4.5pt rip), it also has a nice thin light plate. I like them, but I have never seen one in the wild.

That's a very interesting little panel rip saw.

I wonder why this small saw still has the #12 style handle. This isn't a saw you'd be trying to use 2 hands on. Besides, the handle isn't as large as the Disston.

Here is a Richardson saw I recently picked up. I'd never heard of them and picked this up at a local sale intending to use it as a pattern to make my own bow saw (sometime between now and 2050).

Hi George. Good to see you posting. Very nice saw. Do you have any idea on its vintage.

Stewie.

Probably David or some collector would know.
