I bought this #5C in 1996 and never used it. Work, travel, family etc etc. Now retired, and setting up the workshop again, I dusted it off and - what a beauty! It has yet to take a shaving. 182964

Most likely it will need the blade sharpened. They come with a bevel ground on them, but are not what most wood workers would call sharp.

Show us a few pictures when you get it to take shavings.
