DC question

I have a 1 1/2 HP bag-over-bag DC (it's a Delta 50-850). During assembly, a manifold with two 4" dust ports is bolted on the blower housing which has a 6" inlet. Does it make sense to remove the manifold and run 5" or 6" ductwork directly into the blower inlet?

Ken,

Absolutely!!!!!!! The splitter is not what you want for maximum performance. Just leave it off and connect your ducts right to the 6" outlet. The machine should support 6" ducts just fine if you have fairly short runs.
