About 10 years ago my friend and I dug up a walnut stump with the intentions of using it as handles for the landing nets I build, but, I never got around to cutting the stump. I decided to cut it up last fall and turn some bowls out of it instead. This is the first one and I had some bad checks in this one. I think I screwed up by boiling it and then putting it in my dryer instead of a paper bag, which caused it to dry too fast and check. Lesson learned. Size is 15 x 3 finished with walnut oil and beeswax. C&C welcome.

Philip, I am sure the landing net handles would have been nice, but this is such a much better use for that wood!! Great bowl!
