Boy,

A lot of help you guys are. I ask you to talk me down from the ledge (buying a new lathe) and a bunch of you pushed.

No Pics, it didn't happen. Well, here's the proof. I put a piece of unknown firewood between centers just to make it dirty for you. :p

Right on! Out of the box and into action. Looks like you have it mounted stable. You're going to love that little lathe, in either direction!

Yeah Scott, we may have pushed, you may have jumped, but now that you've landed you will thank all of us because you are now a member of Delta Force, and your turning capability just got elevated by a good bit! We know that you are really pumped, and were hoping we would provoke you just a little............it is hard to be pushed when you are running forward so fast anyway!!!:D;)

No thank you's are necessary...............but we know how you feel! :p He is the one who climbed up on that ledge in the first place, and he wanted to jump, so he only did what he intended to do in the first place..........all he got from the rest of us was some affirmation! ;)

It seems I might have to hang a curtain around the bench now. This thing will throw chips a lot farther. It is smooth and powerful. The piece I chucked up was heavy enough the old lathe would have had trouble turning it at all. This one took it up to speed with no issue.

I'll be placing my order before the end of the week to take advantage of the sale....but it will be painful to have to wait to use it. I'll need to build a bench for it....but some tools....a grinder.....ugh... :)
