My Fasco 18 gauge nailer is about to bite the dust. It is built like a tank, has given wonderful service on a daily basis for over 15 years. Evidently, the company is out of business and parts are no longer available. I've been looking for a replacement, and frankly, in comparison, what I have seen is plastic junk. Any suggestions?

Max will do bunch of lengths, Cadex brand ain't bad, I use one of their pinners but no experience with the brad nailer.

The driver goes too deep into the wood leaving a huge horizontal slot with the nail head countersunk over 1/8". Backing off on the air pressure doesn't seem to completely solve the problem plus the gun up until now has always worked perfectly at full pressure (95 psi +).

of the top of my head I would say the bottom bumper is worn out or the depth control is out of adjustment...

15 years old
might just need to be serviced /new rings and bumpers
I do mine myself pretty straight forward

I run senco and duo-fast and they have been around for 20+ years now
the framing nailers get rings replaced more than the smaller guns

the only advantage of new guns are the oiless ones
