After careful planning, I started building the dining room wainscoting on Sat. I decided, after my last post, to make the panels from birch veneer mdf. This way some grain will show after the painting.
The stile and rails will be made from 1x6 poplar and will be milled once the primed panels are dry. I primed using KILZ interior oil. It sealed the exposed raised mdf perfectly. I want to make sure the panels fit snug, so I prime first.
