IAP is having a 'Beginners Pen Contest' ... and I aint scared of entering contests as a new turner :D

Nice pen Lee. White birch is nice to turn. Don't think I have ever seen one used in a pen.

Good looking pen, and a good photo as well. I like the satin finish on the pen because it begs to be held.

This pen probably will end up sold to one of my co-workers as a gift for her hubby .... one thing I learned doing this.... the little voice inside my head kept telling me "hey dummy, why dont you turn EVERY piece likes its for a contest" ... sometimes I find myself drifting a bit when it comes to finishing. I have now learned to walk away and come back the next day to finish something, my eyes see it differently somehow

Hey Lee,
The name "Dummy" doesn't fit someone who can make such a nice pen. You aren't even allowed to use the name on yourself in jest. Good luck in the contest. You have a great entry.
