Here's a sandpaper storage case I made and also used as a skill builder project. Allowed me to work on mortising hinges (still need work here), edging on the door, use of pocket holes, and (Note to Bill Huber) inlays using my new DeWalt compact router. Not real fancy but organizes my sandpaper and gave me some much needed practice.

Looks well done to me! Wonder how difficult it would be to inlay "Sandpaper" on the front <evil grin>.

Pretty nice box Jim! I want to do something similiar soon, and I want to add a little space to place one of those silica gel packs from hartville tool to keep the paper nice and dry. Your design would work great for that, especially if I use peg board for the shelves.

I've thought about inlaying letters but I think I'll start with a shorter word. Maybe a box for "bits" :D

I hate to say it but I think it looks really bad, just does not look very good to me.

I will make you a deal, if you send it up here to me I think I can fix it up and make it look really good, then I will send it back..

PS: how you like that little router.

Gonna keep it in the living room? Too nice for the shop.

I really like it. You nailed it in your review. Depth adjustments are much easier than the Colt. The plunge base is a "must have" for inlays. Light enough to handle easily. All around great tool.
